Pick files, browse the destination
Add files and folders from this computer, then drill into the destination site, library and folder by hand. Best for a one-off upload into a single place.
Makes changes. What you add here is what gets uploaded. Nothing runs until you confirm.
What it does
- Exactly what will be uploaded, because you added it and can see it listed.
- Where it lands, chosen by browsing rather than typing a URL.
How it runs
- Add local files and folders. Folder structure is preserved as you added it.
- Browse to the destination. Site, then library, then folder.
- Confirm and run. The selection is stated back to you before anything is written.
How it works
Everything you add goes into the one library folder you browse to, with the folder structure under each folder you added rebuilt beneath it. Before it runs you answer the options: whether to keep dates, whether to map authors (which reads each file's Windows owner during the scan and asks you to match owners to people), whether to check the destination for existing files first, and whether to update changed files.
What you need
- Write access to the destination library.
What it will not do
- One destination for the whole selection. To send different folders to different libraries, use the CSV.
