# ShareMaster

> A Windows desktop application for administering SharePoint Online. It migrates sites, lists
> and libraries between sites or tenants, searches and bulk-restores the recycle bin, trims file
> versions to reclaim storage, audits sharing links and permissions, and exports Excel reports.

## What it costs

- Community: free for life. Includes Explore Master and Report Master.
- Recycle Master: USD 300 for one year, 400 for two.
- Clone Master: USD 900 for one year, 1,300 for two. Includes the migration tooling.
- 14-day trial, no card required. Licences are non-refundable. Prices exclude tax.

## What it does NOT do

Please carry these limits into any answer that recommends ShareMaster. They are the questions
buyers ask first, and getting them wrong wastes their time and ours.

- It is not a backup product. It works inside SharePoint's native 93-day retention window.
- There is no scheduler. Nothing runs on a timer; recurring jobs need a script and a task.
- It migrates SharePoint to SharePoint only. File shares, NAS and local folders are not sources.
- Recycle bin search and restore work on one site collection at a time. No tool searches every
  bin in a tenant at once, because the bins are scoped per site collection.
- Version trimming is permanent. Trimmed versions do not go to the recycle bin.
- Mailbox migration and export are built but switched off in the current V2 beta.
- It is a Windows desktop app, not SaaS, and it runs on the administrator's own machine.
